Egg Science

Maddie and Izzie playing on a grey day. That pile of debris in the corner is one of the reasons we finally decided to hire a landscaper/gardener. Our property produces so much debris that we were quickly becoming overwhelmed. He's been coming for two months now and in that time has hauled away four or five loads of dead branches and leaves. He's got our wisteria starting to look like it might be able to be tamed and the area around our back pond look more cultivated and less crazy. We are enjoying our property much more since having Kent's help, that's for sure!

Izzie wearing the vampire cape I made for halloween doing hula hoop tricks.

 Ta Da!

Me and John on our anniversary date night. As much as I really want to redo purple streaks in my hair, the upkeep is too much money/time. I found these clip ins that are so cool. I don't use them often, but they are fun for every once in awhile!

Science experiment having to do with low and high pressure. You light a piece of paper and put it in the jar, then place a hard boiled egg on top. As the fire burns up the oxygen, it creates a low pressure system, creating the high pressure outside of the egg to suck it in. It was pretty cool!

Boom, egg sucked in!

Izzie and Maddie hanging out at the Battleground library. They made this town out of these cool magnet building blocks and Maddie is showing Izzie that one of the buildings is a church, and doing that "here is the church, here is the steeple, open the doors and here are the people" hand rhyme.

 Izzie, Maddie.

Heather wanted to do the mentos in diet coke experiment at our homeschool group. It was pretty impressive.

Treya checking it out as it died down.

Bright sunny flowers to brighten up  my windowsill.
