Homemade Stuffies and Valentine's

Me huggin my girls. Izzie and Maddie.

Izzie drew out a stuffed animal design on paper, and is using the window like a light table to trace with fabric markers onto white cotton.

 Maddie did the same.

Then they are going to cut out their shape in two layers of fabric, stitch all around and stuff it, for an easy homemade stuffy project.

This is Izzie's. They both decided they wanted stuffed pigs.

Last Monday the snow and ice was still pretty abundant and John couldn't make it to work. He shut the door to the office so he could work from home. This made for one very, very sad puppy dog. He did not like the door closed.

Izzie and Maddie at the Valentine's Card Factory. We went super simple this year. I printed out "Happy Valentine's Friend!" On a bunch of card stock and the girls made heart stamps out of toilet paper rolls. They stamped like crazy and when it was dry signed their names. We taped a pencil to each one and there ya have it.

By Tuesday the snow had finally melted enough for us to venture very, very carefully out of our cul-de-sac. Once we cleared our cul-de-sac though the roads were clear and it was smooth sailing. So we were homebound from Thursday morning until Tuesday afternoon.

Izzie working on some math problems with a big smile.
