Izzie and Maddie's Easter Baskets

Maddie and Izzie opening them. They were worried the Easter Bunny didn't come at first because they didn't see the baskets in the toy room. Izzie went and got her Easter bucket from an egg hunt earlier in the week and said, "OH NO! It's EMPTY!" I showed them their baskets in the toy room and they were happy.

Checking out the kaleidoscopes that the bunny left them.

The "bling" (bracelet and rings) were a big hit, but the pretend cell phones were the big hit of the day. (Maddie)

Maddie and Izzie hunting for eggs at Grandma and Grandpa's house. This was the only part of the entire day where it rained. But it wasn't too bad.

Last, but not least... it was also Sabrina's Second Birthday!

Easter was a very fun, very tiring day. It started bright and early for me getting the girls ready for breakfast at Jackie & Tom's club. It is a wonderful buffet breakfast. After stuffing ourselves silly, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house to get Easter baskets from them and do the Easter egg hunt with the cousins. It started to sprinkle during the hunt, so the adults helped the kids out a bunch, but it was still fun. The rest of the day was spent visiting and lazying around. I tried to get the girls to take a nap in their tents but the most I was able to do was to keep them sort of still for about an hour. No sleep though. After nap was more visiting and then finally we went over to Julie's for Sabrina's birthday party. After a delicious meal of ham and tasty sides we opened presents. The girls (and hey.. myself included) were flagging big time by this point. We said our goodbyes and headed home. It was another great holiday spent with family with memories to last a lifetime.
