John's 32nd Birthday, Our Anniversary and other pics.

Izzie eating cake at Daddy's 32nd birthday party.

Maddie was very excited to eat some cake too.

Me and John at the Melting Pot for our 7th anniversary.

Getting ready for our big date.

It's a dunk! Maddie is finally tall enough to make a basket on her own!

Izzie is cooking at the tool bench. She was excited to find a bucket with water in it. She was making Ripley some soup.

Maddie. The girls loved their new sunglasses, I was surprised that they actually left them on.

Although the did have fun lifting them up saying, "Hello!" (Izzie)

This year for John's birthday, I cooked chicken parmigian for the family. This is John's all time favorite meal and it isn't easy to cook for a crowd, but I figured out a way to do it in steps so it came together pretty quickly and easily. John said he had a good birthday and was very happy with all of his gifts.

The next day (Monday) was our 7th Anniversary. We went to our annual trip to the Melting Pot and got the Big Night Out like usual. That place is so much fun and so good! This time around they had a German theme and it was terrific. I didn't like the cheese course as much as I usually do, but it was still tasty. I need to say a super special thank you to Julie who helped babysit at the very last second! My mother-in-law and father-in-law were slated to sit but Jackie wasn't feeling well and so Julie did a last minute stand in with Tom. Thanks to both of you for doing a helping us out that way! (And I did hear that Jackie is feeling a bit better today, so that's good to hear.)

The weather is terrific today! The sun is shining and it's pretty warm, so I took the girls out to play outside for the first time in forever. It's amazing how differently they play outside than a couple of months ago. Izzie was "cooking" at the tool bench, Maddie was shooting baskets by herself, they were actually steering their cars a lot better. They are growing so fast. I laid back in the chase lounge and was enjoying the suns rays dreaming of the next few months and how we'll be outside playing in the sprinklers again. Good times!
