Pumpkin Painting

Maddie and Izzie's pumpkin art.

Playing kitchen.

Hannah, their gracious host who is almost 4.

Maddie getting started.

Izzie and Maddie

Yesterday the girls and I went to a pumpkin painting playdate. It was a perfect art project for their age. I want to carve a pumpkin with the girls and have them help me scoop out the goo. I need to get to the store and buy one though! But painting these small pumpkins was a project they got to do all by themselves. They are such pro's at painting now that they jumped right in. I wasn't sure what they would think about painting something that wasn't paper, but they saw Hannah (who is almost 4) modeling what to do and they got straight to business. After painting was all done, all the kids played in their friend's playroom. Maddie and Izzie both loved the kitchen set she had. And Maddie liked playing with the new baby dolls. Hannah had one that was pretty life like and Maddie rocked it in her arms and fed it a bottle. Izzie found her little toy vacuum and started cleaning house. It was a fun playdate for them and I actually got to visit with Betsy and April the other moms!

What a great idea! It would be perfect for our girls as well.
