The girls and I went to our very first superbowl party ever. And I'm proud to say I didn't watch any football! I actually had a great time and didn't want to leave, but I knew I had to get the girls home and in bed. They just aren't very flexible with their bedtime. (Which most of the time works out perfectly fine for me!) John stayed to watch the game and have more fun with his friends. The party was at Mig's house, one of John's co-workers. They just moved into a new house and it is very pretty! John was loving the "Man-Cave" they have a very nice media room. The girls were perfect. We brought a couple of toys for them to play with and they staked out a corner of the living room and played for a long while. Then they got brave and ventured away from their toys to talk with everyone. Izzie even went in the backyard with me to watch the older boys play soccer. She wanted to play SO bad. I tried to explain to her that the ball would knock her over!
Here's Izzie and Maddie eating their dinner at the superbowl party. I brought their booster seats and their little plates. They did a terrific job. They even ate some of the yummy chicken and steak fajitas! It's funny, because if I had one baby, I would probably have just sat them on my lap to feed them at a party and wouldn't have thought about all the extra acutraments. But with two, things are different. You just have to stay one step ahead of them.
